イラストレーター
東京都在住
印刷会社の企画制作部門、WEBデザイナーを経て、2010年よりフリーランスのイラストレーターとして活動開始。
シンプルで可愛らしくインパクトのある作風で、人や生き物の些細な触れ合いを鮮やかな色彩で描く。
国内外の広告・出版・絵本・雑貨・キャラクターデザインなど、イラストレーション制作を多数手がけるほか、個展開催をはじめ、アートイベント・コラボレーション企画への参加など、オリジナルアートワーク制作にも力を入れている。
2014年1月 表参道のHB Galleryで初めての個展「かみさま」開催
2015年 Creativ Club Austria 2015（オーストリア）のイラストレーション部門でMuseumsQuartier Wienの冬の広告がSilver Venus受賞
2017年8月 西荻窪に共同アトリエ「つくえのえ」オープン
2018年6月 Compendium（アメリカ）からイラストを担当した絵本『Happy Grumpy Loved』『Hide Seek Stinky Sweet』『Wiggle Jump Tickle』出版
2019年5月 Comme des géants（カナダ）からイラストを担当した絵本『Tomi et ses amis poilus』出版
2020年 Spikes Asia 2019（シンガポール）のBrand Experience & Activation部門でイラストを担当した絵本『たべることば』フレーベル館 がBronze受賞
2020年2月-2021年4月 Laurence King Publishing（イギリス）からイラストを担当したパズル絵本 My First Story Puzzle『Animals』『Nature』『Home』出版
2021年9月 AUGHT Books＆Arts（韓国）で海外初個展「KUROIKAMISAMA and CHILD」開催

Kanae Sato
Illustrator based in Tokyo
After working in the planning and production department of a printing company and as a web designer, Kanae began working as a freelance illustrator in 2010.
With a simple, charming, and impactful style, she depicts subtle interactions between people and living creatures using vivid colors.
She has created numerous illustrations across advertising, publishing, picture books, merchandise, and character design, both in Japan and internationally.
Alongside this work, she also focuses on original artwork production, holding solo exhibitions and participating in art events and collaborative projects.

- 2014 | Held her first exhibition at HB Gallery in Omotesando, Tokyo.
- 2015 | Won the 2015 Creative Club Austria Silver Venus Award in the illustration category for creative advertising.
- 2017 | Co-founded the shared studio “TSUKUENOE” in Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo.
- 2018 | Three picture books—”Happy Grumpy Loved,” “Hide Seek Stinky Sweet,” and “Wiggle Jump Tickle”—were published by Compendium, USA.
- 2019 | A picture book, “Tomi et ses amis poilus,” was published by Comme des géants, Canada.
- 2020 | “Taberu Kotoba (Tasteful Words),” published by Froebel-Kan, won the 2019 Spikes Asia Singapore Bronze Award in the Brand Experience & Activation category.
- 2020–21 | Three picture puzzle books—My First Story Puzzle: “Animals,” “Nature,” and “Home”—were published by Laurence King Publishing, UK.
- 2021 | Held her first overseas solo exhibition, “KUROIKAMISAMA and CHILD,” at AUGHT Books & Arts in South Korea.
